Retinitis pigmentosa, also known as RP, is a rare eye condition that affects the light-sensitive layer of the retina. The type of vision loss can vary. Patients with retinitis pigmentosa may lose their vision, but not completely. But most lose their vision. Retinitis pigmentosa is an inherited eye condition. Retinitis pigmentosa can be treated with Ayurveda. If this problem is not treated quickly, the person may lose their vision. This is a rare condition that usually affects both eyes at the same time. In some cases, the intensity may be greater in one eye than the opposite.
