Blue Chalcedony’s name actually comes from the Greek port city of Chalcedon. It’s used in or rather was used in Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome to make beautiful jewellery as well as carvings. And they believed the stone to hold incredible powers. It’s mainly found in South Africa. Blue Chelone is loved by gemstone collectors and jewellery makers because of its ethereal blue colour.
