During his visit to Hiranki village to inspect the effectiveness of bio-decomposing process of converting stubble into manure, Kejriwal told reporters that the technique is a sustainable and cost-effective way of dealing with air pollution caused due to stubble burning. Delhi has found a solution to the problem of crop residue burning and no state can now make any excuse, he said, referring to the oft-repeated claims from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh that there is no other solution but to burn stubble of the paddy crop.
